It is no big secret that African black soap is great for your skin, but my most favorite thing has been to use African black soap for face wash.
Is Your Face Squeaky Clean?
Part of my skincare routine in the evening is to remove my make-up with coconut oil. However, I have noticed after I shower that there is always some make-up residue left.
Therefore, before I put my Shea butter face cream on, I mix a bit of black soap with water in my hands, lather my face with it and then rinse my face with cold water. Now the entire residue is gone. It is a very effective way to keep my skin clear from any leftover residue, and this way, I avoid clogged pores.
African Black Soap in The Hot Shower
You may want to know why I do not use African black soap for face wash in the shower. That is because I enjoy a hot shower, and my previous experience with washing my face with African black soap in the hot shower caused my face to break out.
I can hear you thinking;
Not to worry, it was part of the purging process. Ever since I have been using African black soap for face wash after showering, my face agreed to it, and I never had any issues again.
Why Should I Use Black Soap After I Shower?
Now, you might wonder why I do not use African black soap for face wash before I hit the shower. The answer is similar. I do not want my face to dry out even more after the rinse because I like a hot shower. Therefore, I enjoy using it more like a final face cleanse before I put on my Shea butter face cream. It works like a charm. All that you will have is a beautifully clean, moisturized face.
You should try it! Let me know what you think!
